Project Overview━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━
We have used Shopify to create a new e-commerce website for Meat Haruyama, a meat wholesaler based in Kitakyushu City.
This project was an important one as it marked the first step for Meat Haruyama, a company that has long focused its business on wholesale (BtoB), in expanding its sales channels to general consumers (BtoC).
Key points of the project━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━
For our BtoC expansion, we aimed to build an EC site that was closer to general consumers.
In particular, we focused on "photos" that maximize the product's appeal and increase purchasing desire, and "functions" that emphasize ease of use.
[Key points taken into consideration when creating the website]
❶ Photo direction that combines friendliness and quality
I personally went to the site and directed the photography of the products, employees, and company building.
Based on the concept of "high-quality meat on the dinner table," we selected photographs (including stock images) that convey the atmosphere of everyday life in a home.
By being present during the on-site shoot and providing detailed instructions, we were able to create a consistent visual image that was in line with the concept, helping customers feel closer to the products.
These photos bring out the appeal of the products and inspire customers to want to try them.
❷ Proposal and implementation of easy-to-use functions to support BtoC development
Considering the convenience of general consumers, we proposed and implemented additional functions such as customer reviews, date and time specification, and product filtering functions.
These functions provide a stress-free environment for customers to select and purchase products, strongly supporting the success of B2C business development.
The review feature, which allows you to see customer opinions, increases the credibility of the product and encourages purchases.
In addition, the date and time specification and product filtering functions provide a flexible shopping experience tailored to customers' needs.
❸ Affordable pricing for high quality
The price range is set relatively affordable, and the overall design of the site has been adjusted to a tone that avoids an overly luxurious feel.
This allows a wide range of customers to feel closer to "high quality meat."
[Technical features]
We made the most of Shopify's functions to build an e-commerce site that met our customer's needs.
With an easy-to-use management screen and a wide range of functions, customers can easily manage their products and promote sales themselves.
[Results after release]
Usually, especially for lesser known companies, it is rare to receive orders immediately after an online store is launched.
However, this time, by implementing coupon promotions on Instagram and our official LINE account, we were able to receive orders immediately after the product was released.
This was a very good start for Haruyama Meat's BtoC expansion.

In this project, we aimed to go beyond simply building an e-commerce site, and to help the client grow their business. We provided comprehensive support, from adjusting the overall design based on a Shopify theme and providing photo direction, to proposing features and sales promotion.
We are honored to have been able to help Meat Haruyama deliver their vision of "high-quality meat for the dining table" to many customers through their e-commerce site.
